Lineage II
This post marks the official end of the RICE presence in Lineage II. I have quit the game and left the clan in the hands of Maka, Lokie, and linzifeng; whatever happens with the futures of RICE1 and RICE2 is totally up them. I had planned to leave the game almost three weeks ago when JayC_Rice left and Chrono_Rice planned to leave. However, as the alliance leader, I had many things to deal with before my departure. I spent the last few weeks tying up loose ends such as transferring both clan and alliance assets for future safekeeping. I transferred our Dion clan hall (http://www.ricegamers.com/news/2005/03.31/excel_infect_dion.jpg) to Infect (clan Deviant) and he will be taking good care of it from now on. Our clan hall was bought on July 5th, 2004; I still remember Coff_Rice and I pooling together 7.5 million adena for our bid - that was a large sum of money back in the day. Disregarding inflation, I sold the clan hall to Infect for nearly the same amount that we bought it for. I spent another week waiting for the opportunity when GrandMastaBuff and I were able to log on at the same time. After meeting in Aden town, I dissolved (http://www.ricegamers.com/news/2005/03.31/invincible_rice.jpg) the Invincible alliance that was under RICE and GrandMastaBuff immediately recreated (http://www.ricegamers.com/news/2005/03.31/invincible_bbw.jpg) Invincible under BigBadWolf.
Our achievements in Lineage were amazing to say the least. Although most of the server hated us, no one can deny that we were one of the most influential and stable clans to have ever graced Lionna. We were one of the few allies (http://www.ricegamers.com/news/2005/03.31/rice_kor.jpg) of Knight of Rose (蔷薇骑士) back in the days of prelude, and in time we became one of the core clans that comprised the Invincible Alliance. In Lineage II, most clans have a very predefined lifecycle; they typically start out slow and reach a high point before declining. Somehow we managed to start out strong, drawing from our original member base, and we remained strong throughout our stay on Lionna. Well before RICE was even level 3, we were already an effective fighting force - here is a family picture taken the day RICE hit level 3 (http://www.ricegamers.com/news/2005/03.31/rice_lvl3.jpg). For the greater portion of our history, we have usually had at least one subclan; much thanks to the RICE subclan leaders ? Coff_Rice, linzifeng, and hainiao. We also held three castles during our reign on Lionna: Gludio, Giran, and Dion. Our total time of castle ownership is longer than that of any other clan in the history of the server. What is most impressive is that a clan on the North American servers managed to spawn branches in the China servers. RICE has three known branches on the China servers: 全联 (http://www.ricegamers.com/news/2005/03.31/rice_china_quanlian.jpg), 梦幻 (http://www.ricegamers.com/news/2005/03.31/rice_china_menghuan.jpg), and a third started by LaoTou2004. I'd say that RICE did alright in the world of Lineage II. Before I left the game, I gathered the clan together at Aden for one last family picture (http://www.ricegamers.com/news/2005/03.31/rice_aden.jpg). A lot of players had quit RICE a few weeks ago when I announced that I was leaving the game, but they still came for the picture and rejoined the clan. It was a nice way to end our story on Lionna.
