On December 4th 2004, the Invincible Alliance of Lionna launched an attack on Dion castle. For two hours we killed the remaining leftovers of the recently defunct Rebellion Alliance and the new bastion for the gathering of Anti-Invincible sentiment, the Shadow Alliance. This siege was more a demonstration of military might than a serious attempt at taking the castle. It was apparent shortly into the siege that they had too many people crammed into the castle entrance for us to break though. They were dying and respawning to clog the entrance faster than we could kill them. Note that at this time in Lineage II, castles only had one entrance. We shifted our strategy to maximize the infliction of causalities on the enemy side – their losses after dying for 2 straight hours were staggering.
